Are we using the right perspective?

Changing perspective by looking at life from a wider or closer point of view

Change of perspective doesn’t mean that we must change our opinion and/or belief. It means to look at things either from further away or much closer. It means to either make our view wider or narrow it down. All depending on situation.

The way we look at things and approach them dictates the way we live our lives. It can be messy, undirected and overwhelming. Or it can be unforced, peaceful and steady.

When we feel lost, or fearful, that’s the time to swap ‘lenses’.

Let’s look at fear of changes at first.

The reason why we often fear change in life is because we’re trying to look too far away, not knowing direction, often not knowing what we’re suppose to look for.

Unforeseeable future is a huge insecurity that makes us stuck even in an unpleasant place and situation. It is very common and understandable. But it is also an indication that the change of perspective has to come into play.

At this point, there is no need for a vast view, there’s no need to try to shape and narrow our path when we don’t really know where it should take us and how it should looks like. The only thing needed is the step that takes us out of that place. And that is literally it. Only to leave the situation. Because those first steps take us somewhere where we can safely pause, think and take our time to look at everything from distance.

Those first steps, however, are extremely important because they give us the motivation to create something better, more meaningful, more aligned. Once we start to create better for ourselves, not only that we’re creating, building and shaping our lives but we’re also building and shaping our confidence and self-belief.

That applies to as little steps as starting to exercise, over habits change to a big life-changing steps such as relocation and family status changes.

On the other hand, we should always know who we want to be in life, what kind of person we’re aiming to be and become. Which is a wide, long distance perspective that has to be available to us any time we get tangled in details and therefore feel stuck or lost.

Day to day life, routines and chores can become consuming and mind-fogging and that’s exactly the moment when it’s time to pause and look calmly on everything from distance.

It isn’t a rushed process but steady and restful one. It is a wide view that helps us to shape and narrow our path, so we can return to detailed, focused steps with clear mind❤️🍀.
